Qi Jiguang, who made the most outstanding achievements in the war against Japanese invaders, was not a general who ideally strived to achieve perfection, but one who was best able to adapt to the environment and unleash his genius.
Secondly, the key to his success lies in his sober sense of reality. He saw through and adapted to the prevailing politics, while using military technology as a necessary auxiliary. This was the only permissible approach in the prevailing environment.
